Plot (contains episode spoilers)
Otto and Olive take on a case involving a man considering a career change. After spending his life as a professional dancer, he feels drawn to working at a bank, even though he has no experience in the field. When Olive asks if he has an odd problem, he confirms and demonstrates it—each time he opens his refrigerator, a burst of confetti erupts and loud party music starts playing. Olive uses the Party Pooper gadget to stop the effect, and when the man opens the fridge again, it works normally. Grateful, he thanks the agents as they leave. However, moments later, he opens a carton of milk and is startled when the same confetti and music go off again, leaving him unsure if the milk is still safe to drink.
The agents run into Ms. O and jokingly ask if it’s “wear-a-bathing-suit-to-work day.” She replies that it isn’t, explaining that she simply enjoys swimming as a hobby. As she begins daydreaming about being in the water, Olive calls her back to attention. Ms. O then explains that something strange has happened to her friend’s pool and urgently asks them to fix it so she can swim, warning that she’ll become very grumpy otherwise. To emphasize her point, she snaps a pool noodle in half, prompting the agents to hurry off to investigate.
The agents arrive at Ms. O’s friend’s pool and quickly realize why she can’t swim—it's covered in snow and ice. Otto attempts to measure the temperature but gets distracted by the strong wind, so Olive suggests using a thermometer instead. They discover that while the air temperature on land is 100°F, the water is only 20°F, cold enough to freeze. Just then, Olive’s badge rings—it’s Oscar, urging them to hurry because Ms. O is becoming impatient. He mentions trying to calm her down with a drink of water, only to get splashed in response. Realizing something is seriously wrong, Olive wonders who could be causing these sudden temperature changes, and she and Otto decide to track down the weatherman for answers.
The agents head to the news studio and confront the supposed weatherman, only to discover he is actually Frank Tudesco, a sports interviewer whom Olive recognizes from his nightly recaps. At that moment, he is interviewing Sven Jorgenson about his love for skiing and skating, which Sven enthusiastically confirms. Olive explains that they are searching for the real weatherman, believing he is responsible for the unusual weather. Frank points them toward Studio 2, then quickly corrects himself and directs them to Studio 9 instead. Thanking him, the agents rush off while he resumes the interview.
The agents ask a studio manager for directions to Studio 9, and she offers to guide them there. Pressed for time, they rush down the hallway together. Inside the studio, the weatherman is calmly delivering the weekly forecast, assuring viewers that the weather will remain pleasant. Suddenly, Olive and Otto burst in, interrupting the broadcast and accusing him of causing the strange temperature changes. The startled weatherman quickly denies any involvement, but noticing the agents' frustration, he explains that he has, in fact, been receiving reports from across town about unexpected cold spots. Realizing the issue is far more widespread than just Ms. O's pool, the agents examine a map showing that certain areas have dropped to 20°F while the rest of the town remains normal. Confused by the uneven pattern, they decide to head to the Mathroom to investigate further.
The agents enter the Mathroom and are surprised to find Orchid already there. Slightly annoyed, she asks if they’ve ever heard of knocking before coming in. They quickly apologize, and she accepts, explaining that she is just finishing up her work. After running the numbers one final time, she confirms she now understands the situation. Orchid briefly hands Olive a letter to deliver to her brother in case something happens but immediately realizes she’ll be fine and takes it back. With that settled, Olive asks the Mathroom to display a map of the town and highlight the unusually cold areas so they can continue their investigation.
Olive asks the Mathroom to display a map of the town and highlight the unusually cold areas. After examining it, she and Otto notice a clear pattern: only locations connected to water and hills are affected. Otto points out that these conditions would be perfect for skiing and skating, since the temperature in those spots has dropped to 20°F—cold enough for water to freeze. Just then, Otto recalls Sven Jorgensen's enthusiasm for winter sports and realizes that frozen lakes and snow-covered hills would provide ideal places for him to skate or ski. The Mathroom pulls up a profile of Sven Jorgensen, revealing that he is a championship skier and skater as well as a part-time inventor. Putting the pieces together, Olive realizes that Sven must have created a device to alter the temperature, and the agents set off to find him.
Meanwhile, Sven Jorgensen is happily skiing through the snow when the agents arrive and confront him about altering the temperature to create winter conditions. He admits to it but insists they’ll never find his device. While Olive distracts him by pointing out something in the snow, Otto quickly removes Sven’s unusual hat and discovers the hidden gadget inside. Sven explains that he grew tired of waiting for winter and wanted to enjoy skiing, skating, and making snow angels year-round. Refusing to let him continue, the agents start chasing him as he tries to escape. Using the device, they lower the temperature and trap him when he runs into a puddle that instantly freezes around him. With Sven captured, they contact Oscar to report that the problem has been resolved. However, Oscar informs them that Ms. O has already flooded headquarters out of impatience, leaving the agents with no choice but to change into swimsuits before heading back.
