Olive riding the tubes
The Tube System is how Odd Squad agents travel. The system squishes agents into a translucent ball and launches the ball into tubes that lead to their destination, having the similarities of a pinball game.
Balls can come in many different colors, all depending on the agent's department color (i.e., red for Investigation agents, green for Scientists, etc.).
The system was founded by Big Red on September 18th, 1870. In addition, the Tube System's core is located at Tube Central Station in Australia, which is run by Tube Master General, O'Shaughnessy.
Trivia
- When someone rides in the tubes their insides get mixed up and turned around.
- On December 3, 2001, Odd Squad agents stopped using the Tube System and used a new segway, but went back to the tubes a day later.[1]
- Agents are not supposed to take more than four tube rides a day.
- Agents are not supposed to eat during liftoff and while riding in the tubes.
- Badge phones, as well as other electronic devices such as gadgets, if applicable, must be turned off as a person prepares for liftoff.
- When people are leaving, they should make sure no one else is arriving.
- Agents must take a tube test in order to ride in the tubes. If an agent fails their tube test, then they have to ride with an agent who passed it.
- More than one agent can ride in the same tube.
- In the night time, if agents plan to ride the tubes, they must take a ticket number and wait their turn until their number is called. (Example: If an agents takes ticket number 539, then they have to wait until 538 is done.) This is differed from the day time where agents can ride the tubes any time.
