The Science department is a department at Odd Squad which was created by Oprah in Oscar's name.
Of the 9 most prominently featured departments, it ranks fifth hierarchically, being below The Big Office, Management, Investigation, Security, and Medical.
Duties
Scientists who work in the Science department create various gadgets for employees (mostly Investigation agents) to use. They are also responsible for keeping an eye on gadget inventory and making sure gadgets are returned on time. While Scientists can go out onto the field, they often help out Investigation agents rather than solve odd cases themselves. Scientists do not have partners and often work solo, but have a symbiotic relationship with Investigation agents when it comes to gadgetry.
Most precincts have a Lab Director that serves as the lead Scientist. However, all Scientists are led by the President of the Scientists, who serves as their boss.
